Hilarious that my parents even had the audacity to say I would end up living under a bridge if I would move to Budapest by myself.
This is literally my 4th day here and I just sold my first full-length novel at 18 years old.
I achieved this in 4 days without any of their dumb ass help. And to think a small part of me actually believed their shit, actually worried about ending up homeless and under a bridge. But no. I am rewriting what it means to be young and independent and I am doing it without any of their help. How dare they underestimate me.

I think the most painful thing is that she didn't break up with me for logistical reasons, it was cuz she fell out of love. We had made so many plans and promises and they all just kinda went out the window. It's been 6 months, we're trying to be friends still but now she's dating this guy. Hey anon, sorry to hear about the break up:(. Heartbreak is such a bitch. I believe exes can be friends and have a good not-romantic relationship together, BUT for this to be able to happen there’s one requirement, and that is no contact at all for a certain amount of time (I’d suggest 3 months is a good time period to start with). At the moment, it seems like you still care about her since it hurts you to see her new life unfold, which totally makes sense! I think the best thing you could do for yourself is to give your heart some time away from her to heal. This way, you give yourself the best chance at developing a healthy, friendly relationship with her later on. Good luck! <3
